What actually happens in a first session?
We spend most of it on what brought you here and what you have already tried. Towards the end we agree what the work would involve and whether it is a fit. You will usually leave with one practice to try before we next speak. There is no assessment battery and no diagnosis handed down.
What does it cost?
A 20-minute discovery call is ₹299, credited to your first full session. Sessions run 60, 90 or 120 minutes: from ₹2,000 in India, and from ₹4,000 for clients based outside India, charged in Indian rupees. Session packages are available and reduce the per-session cost.
Can I have therapy in Hindi or Nepali?
Yes. Sessions are conducted in English, हिंदी or नेपाली, whichever you think in. You can switch between them mid-session, and many people do.
I am outside India. Does that work?
Yes, and a meaningful share of the practice is already overseas — the UK, the US, the Gulf and Singapore among them. Sessions are online, payment takes international cards, and the booking page shows every available time in your own timezone.
Is this Vedic, or Dharmic, counselling?
Yes, if that is what you are looking for. The clinical tools are the ones any good therapist uses: CBT, ACT, person-centred and Gestalt work. Around them sits a Vedic, or Dharmic, way of understanding a person, drawn from the Bhagavad Gītā, Vedānta and the Yoga Sūtras: the guṇas, the kleśas, and the question of how to live, not only how to feel better. People come to it from India and from abroad, some after years of Western therapy, some with no interest in the tradition at all. Nothing devotional is asked of you.
Do I need to be religious, or interested in the Gītā?
No. The clinical tools are evidence-based and entirely secular in application — CBT, ACT, Person-Centred and Gestalt. Vedic frameworks may inform how your patterns are understood, and no practice or belief is ever required of you. Plenty of clients have no interest in that side of it at all.
How many sessions will I need?
It depends on what you bring. A focused concern often takes six to ten sessions. Longstanding patterns take longer. We review it openly as we go, and you are free to stop at any point.
Is it confidential?
Yes. What you say stays between us, with the standard exceptions where there is a serious risk of harm to you or someone else. Notes are kept securely and are not shared without your consent.
What are your qualifications?
Graduate Member of the British Psychological Society (GMBPsS), BSc in Biomedical Science from the University of Manchester, and an MSc in Psychology with Distinction from Anglia Ruskin University, Cambridge, alongside an advanced diploma in counselling.
