Shri Devdarshan is one of the best and honest counsellor I have met. He is very kind and a humble person and his counseling sessions were lovely and peaceful.
Psychology that understands the whole of you
A clinically rigorous, integrative approach to mental well-being — for those who have always sensed that conventional therapy addresses the surface, while something deeper remains untouched.
Not sure where to start?
A one-minute, no-pressure check — five simple questions to help you see where you stand and what might help. An orientation, never a diagnosis.
A practice grounded in two traditions
At Anandoham Health, we practise an integrative form of counselling psychology grounded in both Western clinical science and the knowledge systems of the Bharatiya tradition. Our work begins with your immediate distress — and goes further.
Lasting well-being is not simply the absence of symptoms. It is clarity about who you are.
Sessions are conducted online via Zoom in English, Hindi, and Nepali, open to anyone seeking rigorous, integrative therapy. Based in Gangtok, Sikkim, with clients worldwide.
Devdarshan Bastola, GMBPsS
Born in the Himalayan foothills of Sikkim, Dev trained in the UK — BSc Biomedical Science (University of Manchester), MSc Psychology (ARU Cambridge), and an advanced diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy. He is a Graduate Member of the British Psychological Society.
Alongside his clinical training, Dev has spent over nine years in rigorous study of Vedanta, Yoga, and the broader Bharatiya knowledge systems. From this dual foundation he developed Dev's Vedic Therapy (DVT) — a structured therapeutic methodology currently being prepared for academic publication.
Where precision meets depth
Every major school of psychotherapy ultimately works at the level of thought. At Anandoham Health we work within this clinical framework — and we go further.
The Bharatiya knowledge systems contain precise, systematic models of the mind: its constitution, its layers, the nature of its suffering, and the conditions for its lasting resolution. DVT integrates these with evidence-based methods — CBT, ACT, Person-Centred Therapy, and Gestalt — into a structured, replicable approach.
Designed for those for whom conventional therapy has provided relief, but not resolution.
Begin with a single breath
Take a breath
Begin where you are
The path to clarity begins with a single conversation. Whatever brings you here — anxiety, depression, a sense of incompleteness — this is a place where it can be understood at its root.
